skateboarders know little of poetry. they're insane little men that do incredulous feats that inspire poetry though.

Out on my skateboard the night is just humming
And the gumsmacks are the pulse I'll follow
If my walkman fades
Well I got absolutely no one
No one but myself to blame
Don't worry, we're in no hurry
Schools out
What did you expect?

I wanna range life

dreans are meaningless; they're like conversations. (no edit)
Dreaming that you are not dreaming is common. Having a dream where you are dreaming is insane.
Being unable to walk in your dream is similar to many types of dream paralysis. Stuck energy, unfullfilled desires, hidden motivations may or may not have something to do with it. It is all up to the interpreter.

I need to reorient my life more towards poetry instead of politics. I'm heading down a fruitless path.
And I like fruit.
Beauty is in the eye of the skateboarder. Behold, a new path has opened up before me in the woods. It appeared at the precise moment I needed it the most.
when I was younger I had the same reoccuring nightmare. i dreamt i was a turkey, and my step-dad chased me around with an ax, screaming, "you're mine now sucka." the turkey (me) went to a witch doctor and paid the doc handsomely to put a hex on the evil step-father. the witch doctor put a spell on the short little italian, and from that night on the step father could no longer find the ability to persue the poor turkey. after that the witchdoctor became hysterical and ate the turkey. maybe that will help you out joe.

This beaver is in hiding, sleeping and dreaming of a better world. Did you ever have a dream in which you found yourself asleep and dreaming?

Michael Mann, I feel you brother (in response to a comment left about 4 comments ago).. I understand the logistics are less than favorable. I guess the implication or the question I wanted to put out was the question of a possible double standard. It's not necessarily an important issue, just something that was on my mind at the time.
So I was downtown yesterday, and it felt pretty good. It was interesting to see people come out of the building and maybe just for a split second realize that the little bubble they'd been living in maybe wasn't telling them everything they needed to know on any objective level. Decent stuff. I was planning to arrive in a suit and tie, but time did not permit. My reasoning: to simply throw a kink in the stereotypical image of the voice of the dissent-er.
What's it gonna be Wednesday?

Meet the new Ryan, same as the old Ryan.
or
Blo-Blo-Blo-gojevich?

I'm voting for crazy. My vote goes to Cal Skinner.
As much as I value throwing my vote away (I did vote for Gore in 2000), I will vote for Blowmeyasonavabich. I am a robot, I vote my party [eyes flashing electronic red].

I've been thinking about when Mike Mann said, "I think it would be intersting to see a Matt Hale speech where everyone that disagreed with hale didn't attend the event, and the remaining 15 or so in attendance just stood around waiting for the oppisition to show up."

I think you are right Mike.

I also think there is more than one way to be right. It is not a black and white, good versus evil, world we live in. The idea of facing hate and anger with love and compassion is a valid idea. That works too. Sounds like something Mother Teresa or Jesus would do.

Same thing with President Bush today. Anybody who disagrees can certainly stay home. Anybody who disagrees can certainly go there if they choose.

I'm going.

Champaign Cows?

maybe, Champaign Soy Beans?

Hell, they already took "corn huskers."

How about those Houstan Texans? Mabye we should follow that route and call ourselves the Champaign Illinoin(s)'

Champaign Indian Genocide.

Champain Guilt Trippers.

I think it would be great if we named our football team after queer rock bands. The Champaign Stardust. (or) Champaign Roxy Music.
today is springfield's big day - I suppose. dub ya is coming into town for an "invitational only" event. I'm thinking about what you said Odom, and I think it perfectly fine and ok for the prez to go with this sort of event. reasons: assasination attempts, and, or, overzelous demonstrations. imagine a scenerio where only people that camped out for 48 hours were allowed to enter the bonanza. you got a ton of people that want to make a mockery outta the monkey we call a president, and nexx thing you know all hell brakes loose. no longer is this event about the president's policies (pro or con) bit it turns into a giant media event. i like a media circus as much as the next fella, but the prez deserves the security of a somewhat friendly crowd for this sort of event. "liquer in the front, protesters in the back" i think that in the end the president's words will speak for themself. Good place for a protest: in the tress. pretend like your a monkey president. I never liked the phrase: "take it to the streets," why not "take it to the trees."

Hey Bloggers. I've been out of action lately - got lost in the woods with Camper Van Beethoven, and we couldn't find our way out.. Little bit behind on the political scene, but I'm sure there something out there right now that will piss me off to no end. Isn't that what politics is all about? I'm getting peeved just thinking about all the crap that's probably going on right now.

Perhaps you've seen this before.

Hello all. Sorry, not much to say right now, and pressed for time.
GrassRoots Bloody Roots. Sepultura fans know what I'm talking about.

Mikey, Steve went to DC with us too, and I'm sure he will be more than happy to be interviewed for your IMF article as well.
It was brought to my attention by Mr. Matt Komanecky that our president may very likely be in Springfield on (I believe) this coming Sunday (the 3rd).
I read the account of how it was "invitation only" and I commented to Matt that I saw it somewhat unlikely that we would be able to get near that area and whatnot, and that it's set up to be this "image of Orwellian unanimity" as I put it.
Then I started thinking, well, what if it /was/ open to the public? Anyone could come in, hold signs, dissent, stand and turn their backs to the president, etc. That's a very real possibility, especially if groups organized, and camped out the night before to be sure and fill the area with dissenting cronies. This is a fearful image in the eyes of the organizer, and in the eyes of the GOP.
At the same time, imagine if Ralph Nader or (my own personal hero) Howard Zinn was to come and speak in the area. Would I welcome a mass of protesters to come in and speak out (in a peaceful way) against my hero? [if such a things would happen] Would I only inform or invite those that would support this cause? Am I guilty of the double standard? Perhaps.
Would it be a positive thing to allow people of all viewpoints to stir things up at all times, and on both sides?
Are we guilty of double standards here?
Would it make people more aware? More talkative? More interested in events and opinions on both sides?
-would the gloves come off?-
I'm sorry, hung-over, and broke. This must be love.

Here are lyrics to a song on the radio (88.3 WQNA):
Life is funny
It is sunny
Bees make honey

I can't make this up. The sad part is this was the best song on the radio I have heard this year.

We have two new Beavers, Steve O and G? Let's welcome them to our humble weblodge. Share your ePinions with us. (isn't that word ePinions gay? I just made that up. Somebody needs to cut my head off with a ninja sword.)

Happy Halloween. I'm ready to acknowledge the spirits that we neglect the rest of the year. Ghosts, goblins, and witches, tonight's your night! Owwwwwwwwwwwww!

Wow. You have got to check this out. Simon Jansen has recreated scenes from Star Wars (copyrighted TM George Lucas) using ASCII characters and javascript. It is pretty crazy. View Star Wars Asciimation here: http://www.asciimation.co.nz/

Castoreum

Animal scent markings are notorious for smelling terrible. But castoreum is different. It has a musky smell that some people describe as van...
