Irony is Dead. Not!

They said Irony died in the nineties, but I think they undermined our generation's resolve. I've spent the last 48 hours downloading episodes of Mr. Show, and watching The Anna Nicole Smith Show, and I'm happy to report the Irony is alive, and happier then ever.
We've have a little beaver in the wait.

Poetry out of my neighbors noises. I listen late at night, and I hear a lot. I also hear a lot of their early mourning activities. My neighbor Kate let me borrow her old poetry. She's pretty darn good at that stuff. It's wierd, because I've got to hear much of the stuff that's in her manuscripts. Pretty cool.

Too bad I didn't take care of the pups this last weekend. Mom and Joe would have been pet-free, and free to move to South Carolina.

Thanks Mr. K. for keeping my parent's pets alive and well, and consequently keeping me parents stationed for another couple of good years here in the great state of Illinois. I don't vist them often, but I like to keep them close.
Who's this sniper guy anyway? So many people are talking ex-millitary; I'm betting he's an ex-cub.

(Is it too early for sniper jokes? I can't tell, I've been a bit of an ass lately.)

The Cardinal's were great this year. This season will be one of my own personable "MCI, Sprint, Mastercard, Visa Mememorable moments in baseball."

My own "memorable moment" came in 88, watching an 8" TV screen in the kitchen (only because Mom was watching Murder Mystery Channel in the TV room), and I watched Jack Buck call Gibson limp to the plate and then jack one, in game one against the Mets to win the game. I also remember the 87 NlCS best, Cards against the Giants, listening with the radio on its lowest setting to my ear so that I wouldn't wake up my jerk little brother Cubs fan sleeping 8 feet from me. That's how it way the entire year, and that's how I will always remember basebsall. I also remember about baseball my step-dad only took me to one Cubs game growing up (his favorite team), but I got to see a great many more Cardinal games. If my son grows up to be a Cub fan, I will try to do the same for him.

Some people get depressed after Christmas, I get depressed after the baseball season's over. For me, the baseball season ended last night. I would have loved to see Matt Morris win that game. He's a good guy in a game full of smoke-asses (ie; Kenny Loften, Barry Bonds.)

Did anyone else catch the post-game quote from Bonds after he congradulated his team for carrying him through the series, and he said, "Now it's time for me ...sic...the team to win the World Series." Barry Bonds is the RoboCop of Major League Baseball. Who else wears more armor?

And More: We lost Monica from the league of Beavers. We appreciate your contributions to the blog, and hope you can contribute in the future. Once a beaver - always a beaver. Good Luck with all your endeavors in the future, and remember the beavers will always be there for you in the future.
Monica, you WILL be missed, and are missed. If only I had time to hang out with my friends more. I would be with my friends all the time if it wasn't for the twin distractions of work and school. No one ever says when they are on their deathbed, "If only I had worked more hours and studied harder at school...."

In this life, the most important thing we have are each other. The most important thing in life are people. Not money, not prestige, not material goods.

I am so proud of the Cardinals for being such a great team this year and making as far as they did. Kudos. Now, it is all about the Angels.

Who said something was up Monica's ass? That's not cool.
I just can't focus on this stuff right now. I'm sure I won't really be missed. 8-(
Happy Blogging.
Time to recruit new bloggers.

Does anyone know any homeless people who want to rant on the Wily Beaver?
It is a dark day.

Good bye Monica, you will be missed.
I miss Monica.
I remember Chris Peopl. He used to run like a mad man through the courtyard at lunch and get in peoples faces. People used to make all kinds of fun of him and call him "waldo" whatever that was supposed to mean. Crazy world. Let it be known here and now,
I am officially renouncing my blog membership. I can't stand all the political and religious talk personally. You boys enjoy your fun.

I remember Chis Peopl was picked on by no end, by whites, and ever more so by blacks. I also remember the buzz in school when Scottie March stood up for Chris in the guy's locker room in Gym and told everybody to back off when Chris was getting seriously harrassed. Scottie March used to be a skinhead, however he was the farthest thing from a racist. As far as I can remember Scott was the only one to ever stand up for Chirs Peopl. There is a lesson in here somewhere, and I'm dissapointed that that Peopl didn't learn it. Maybe everybody in highschool was right - Peopl was a f'n nerd.

It might be an interesting sidenote to consider the originations of raical superiority, and how this this sick phenomenoh has carried over into today's times. I think it's best to get over it. Nobody's supriour.. Black or White. Cuban or Mexican. Kurdisch or Iraqi. Your'e all bunch of dumbasses like the rest of us.

Join the Club.

I'm also sick to death of these pop up ads that tell me my cpu's internet activity is being monitered. So f'n what. I'm not ashamed. Mom and Joe: If some outside organization reports my internet activity to you and begins some crazy blackmail campaign, please tell them to got to hell. (This spyware is getting under my skin)

Genetice supuriority isn't really relevent anymore. I look at guys like hale - and racist skinheads - and I can't get past how silly they look. The skinheads are joke. Matt Hale - at best - is a very boring joke.

"Take Matt Hale bowling, take him bowling" ... Only Camper Van Bhetthoven could have said it better.
I'm still thinking about much of what was said at Lincoln Library Saturday, as well as how it was said.
Whether I agree or disagree (and I do both) with Matt Hale, I thoroughly respect his right to speak. If White Supremecists want to openly discuss starting race wars, they should be able to. Just like if Anarchists want to map out their plans to overthrow the government, that right to speak should be protected.
Overall, I'm glad Mr. Hale got to speak, and I am glad the audience got to speak back, even if in the end it was Mr. Hale who acted more civilly.

I do agree with their position that the whole system is fucked, that the media is controlled and biased, and that the world is far out of balance. But it is not completely accurate to say that the Jews or the Blacks are behind all of the world's problems. Nor was that essentially their entire position. Maybe they blame the Arabs and the Japanese too, but left that out. Actually, the Japanese were mentioned.

Nor is it a viable solution to keep the races separate. It is just too extreme. But this idea of genetice supremecy is facinating. Where did it originate, and why is it still relevant today?
I remember Chis, and I think I know why he turned out to be racist. I use to symphasize with him, now I just think he's a racist.

Castoreum

Animal scent markings are notorious for smelling terrible. But castoreum is different. It has a musky smell that some people describe as van...
