Since I'm staying at my dad's due to lack of power at home I saw him after he got off work last night. He's been working 16 hour days for CWL&P since Monday and it's starting to show. To complicate matters, people are starting to complain to him about their power like the crews aren't doing their best to get them back up. All crews are working 16 hours on and 8 off and at the same time there are 75 crews from out of town also helping out.
He told me a story last night that on the radio he heard "Emergency help needed...shots fired". Now this wasn't a police radio, it was the utilities. Apparently after that, the worker who heard the shots ran after the two people, but lost them in an alley just as police cars showed up to the scene.
Shit sucks, but people have to keep their heads about it. I kind of wish that the army guard would do some patrols like I got used to in Louisana after Katrina hit down there. I'm getting nervous, especially after I heard about the stabbing on Lenox this week as it is not far from my house.
Ok, I put up a little photo page of the damage at my house if you want to look.
