I went out canvassing for Marc Sanson this afternoon. He is running for Ward 6 Alderman. It is a unique experience going door to door asking your neighbors for something (in this case, signatures). With several people, the first thing out of thier mouths was, "What are you selling?" And there is always that retired person wanting to tell you there life deeds. We went up to one house today, complete with Jesus and "We vote Pro-life" stickers in the window, and I noticed when the old man opened the door, he was listening to Rush Limbaugh really loud. He was nice enough. Told us about when he was a mail carrier 25 years ago and delivered mail to these same neighborhoods near Glenwood. But we had work to do, so we left. But not until saying, "Have a nice weekend."
