Police State ID Card Bill Passes Without Congress Even Reading It

"Everyone is talking about this monumental legislation as if they've read it. News reporters, commentators, political analysts, think tanks; 9/11 families; and yes, members of Congress are busy sounding off as experts trying to convince the American public that Congress should pass it. Have any of these people actually read it?"

No, not really.

I find this so ironic and scary, that I'm laughing. Is this what kind of government the founding fathers intended? Maybe the bill actually contains the King James Bible, and that will be our new law! This is hilarious to me in its absurdity. We live in this electronic information age and yet are still beholden to the printed word.

It's like that joke about 500 monkeys typing for 500 years -- they will eventually come up with an Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act.
