Kings of Leon new video shows people just beating the crap out of eachother. There's this one guy stradling his victim, punching his face to the rythem of the song the entire video.

It's such a good idea for a video. It really glorifies fist fighting, which makes me wonder why no one come up with it before.

Rawwwwrrrrrrrr! [Crunch]

Um, I'm going to send a Dementor to your Number 4 Privot Drive, if you don't stop using foul language.

I'm sending my house elf out to get my copy of Harry Potter. I'll be at home polishing my wand. Hey-Oh!

Now it´s you-know-who
I´ve got the you-know-what
I stick it in the you-know-where
You know why
you don´t care

Pop Culture and I have been thinking up new slang for the black people. Pop came up with "active." So you would say something like, "Those rims are active, or that bitch is active. I also came up with one. It's "accurate." As in, "I saw some DKNY's at Burlington Coat Factory, and those motherfuckers were accurate. Or, those Nike's are accurate, but that bitch over there is even more accurate.
Big news rolling down this week, beavers. Stay cool.

Continuing our impeachment ruminations:
"More than four in 10 Americans, according to a recent Zogby poll, say that if President Bush did not tell the truth about his reasons for going to war with Iraq, Congress should consider holding him accountable through impeachment ... The impeachment question was part of a Zogby International poll conducted early last week, and released on Thursday. It found that Bush's job approval ratings had slipped a point from the previous week, to 43 percent. But the jaw-dropper was that 42 percent said they would favor impeachment proceedings if it is found that the president misled the nation about his reasons for going to war with Iraq." - Dan Froomkin, Washington Post

London Rocked by Explosions (Government blame game and coverup in progress...)

This week, Earth is at its greatest distance from the sun (152 million km), a point in our planet's orbit called aphelion.

AURORA WATCH:
A coronal mass ejection (CME, movie)
left the sun yesterday and is heading toward Earth. It's not a very bright or massive CME. At most, only mild geomanetic storms are expected when it reaches Earth tonight. High-latitude sky watchers should be alert for auroras.

Folkie Wierdo Sufjan Steven is in the process of recording 50 albums, each one dedicated to a different state. His second one just came out and it is titled Illinois.

So that's kind of cool. There some Matt K references in it. Check it out.
Well, you know what? Debunkers and skeptics tend to be assholes.

Have a great Fourth of July everybody! Come to my housewarming party Saturday.
Infernal Egguinox

Another Urban Legend debunked. LPS won't be happy.

Claim: A special property of the equinox allows eggs to be balanced on end that day.

Status: False.

Balancing an egg on end can be achieved any day of the year.

Also, The nursery rhyme 'Ring Around the Rosie' is NOT a coded reference to the Black Plague.

More Wife Jokes:

My wife and I went back to the hotel where we spent our wedding night. Only this time, "I" stayed in the bathroom and cried.

My wife is on a new diet. Coconuts and bananas. She hasn't lost weight, but can she climb a tree!
A man was leaving a cafe with his morning coffee when he noticed almost
unusual funeral procession. A funeral coffin was followed by a second one
about 50 feet behind the first.

Behind the second coffin was a solitary man walking with a black dog. Behind him was a queue of 200 men walking in single line.

The man couldn't stand his curiosity. He approached the man walking with the
dog, "I am so sorry for your loss, and I know now is a bad time to disturb
you, but I've never seen a funeral like this with so many of you walking in
single line. Whose funeral is it?"

The man replied, "Well, that first coffin is for my wife."
The inquisitive man asked, "What happened to her?"
The man replied, "My dog attacked and killed her."
He inquired further, "Well, who is in the second coffin?"
The man answered, "My mother-in-law. She was trying to help my wife when the
dog attacked and killed her also." A thoughtful moment of silence passes
between the two men.

Then the first one asks in excitement "Can I borrow the dog?"
The man replied "Please join the queue."
Whiskey says to me this morning:

You can't cry cause you're laughing at me
I'm down (I'm really down)
I'm down (Down on the ground)
I'm down (I'm really down)
How can you laugh when you know I'm down
(How can you laugh) When you know I'm down

I say to her:

We're all alone and there's nobody else
You still moan, "Keep your hands to yourself!"
I'm down (I'm really down)
Oh baby I'm down (Down on the ground)
I'm down (I'm really down)
How can you laugh when you know I'm down
(How can you laugh) When you know I'm down.
Waaaao! Baby I'm down

Castoreum

Animal scent markings are notorious for smelling terrible. But castoreum is different. It has a musky smell that some people describe as van...
